Rochedale Bus Station, Brisbane QLD

A new bus station and extensive park ‘n’ ride facility are set to be built at the intersection of School and Underwood Roads in Rochedale. The park ‘n’ ride will feature a spacious lot with capacity for up to 485 vehicles, including nine designated accessible parking spaces. The bus station will be equipped with solar panels and offer undercover storage for 30 bicycles. Additionally, a dedicated kiss ‘n’ ride area will be incorporated into the design, facilitating efficient drop-offs and pick-ups for passengers.

The project will also include comprehensive lighting and CCTV coverage throughout both the car park and bus station to ensure safety and security. A signalised intersection will be constructed to link the facility with the forthcoming extension of Gardner Road.

The Rochedale bus station and park ‘n’ ride are expected to be operational once the realignment and widening of the M1 and the extension of the South East Busway are completed. The anticipated completion date for the bus station is by the end of 2024, subject to weather and construction conditions.
